In 2004, I was given a cancer diagnosis for the second time in my life, ten years after the first time. When life began to settle down after all the treatments, I was back to my regular life but now with new traumas, I needed to find a way to begin the healing. That’s when I came across this term that was new to me – mindfulness. I got a book on mindfulness and meditation by Jon Kabat-Zin and began my personal and spiritual growth journey.
